Lorijo Manley: Photos
- My first gig, age ten. Some things never change; I still love to wear cowboy boots and weird things on my head onstage!

- Velvet Lorijo. I matched the curtains that night. Sidewalk Cafe, NYC.

- AP Music Theory - round and around the circle of fifths!

- They surprised me good that year...birthday fell on a gig night. Very little music was played.

- Tip hat, mailing list book, lots of beer signs, and...cowboy boots! Not Just Pasta, Chicago.

- Up in the air! It's a bird! It's a model airplane! No, really. It's there. If you could only enlarge this photo, you'd see!

- Mom, sister, at the piano, Grandma - and me trying to keep up with the changes. A ritual in my family. Oh, and this is the house where Alex Haley wrote The Autobiography of Malcolm X and started writing Roots, thanks to my Grandparents!!

- Taking five to take pictures after practicing in Central Park while in high school. A couple passing by dropped a few dollars into my guitar case and said I reminded them of a young Janis Ian. When they wouldn't take the money back, I got a wicked idea...

- Space Cadet! (My first attempt at flying an aircraft. In the back seat and looking in the wrong direction.)

- CB's Gallery 313, NYC (CBGB's softer side). RIP. OK, they ain't cowboy boots, they're motorcycle boots this time.

- It was a cold February night...Sidewalk Cafe, NYC. Richie Kessler of Necessary Records said I was channeling Stevie Ray Vaughan. I don't know about that...I was just cold!

- And I was sweltering in Hotlanta! My friend loved this bus stop poster for some twisted reason. It is kinda twisted. Especially as a Christmas card! (NO, we didn't do that!)

- Back to the grind - Times Square in the rain. (After a ticket from the transit cops underground.)
